Bea Jackson became an ACORN member in 1995. She was the longtime chair of the North Lawndale ACORN group, and a member of the Chicago ACORN Board. She was also Chair of the ACORN Board for a while. Jackson is 74 years old. In this interview, she talks about being treated terribly in school and how she wanted to be on the college prep track but was refused because she was Black.
