Kim Huff was hired as a door-to-door canvasser in Atlanta, Georgia in 1978. She worked as a canvasser for a year in Atlanta, and briefly in Philadelphia. After a year, she became an office manager and book keeper for Georgia Action/ACORN. After Ga. Action merged with ACORN, and she moved to New Orleans where she worked in accounting/payroll and grant writing under the supervision of Dale Rathke. Kim left ACORN in 1983 to obtain a graduate degree in statistics. Kim offers the perspective of someone who had inside knowledge of payroll and accounting for ACORN in the early 80s.
