Peter Nagy worked in NYC and Long Island for ACORN from 2007-2009. In this interivew, he speaks about a big victory on Long Island over a redevelopment issue, as well as and his political work. He explains that he stayed with NYCC, the ACORN successor organization in New York, for 10 years and then went on to work at Working Families party, where he is currently a director. He speaks about the lack of training and sink or swim attitude when first coming on to the ACORN staff. He also speaks of the hard work and high staff turnover, but says he was very happy for the experience and uses what he learned in his current work at WFP.
