Aaron Dorfman reflects on his time as an organizer with ACORN, primarily in the Twin Cities and Florida. He talks about how his time as a college student at Carlton College prepared him for organizing, and how as a fresh organizer, he was tasked with leading the Minnesota chapter. He discusses his experience working with Black, Hmong and white working class communities, how it impacted him personally, and why he wanted to help build the Florida chapter. In addition to reflecting on these experiences, he shares what he thinks are some important lessons learned (from management practices to power building) and how he experienced the end of ACORN.
