Billy Easton was the Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education (AQE), which was co-founded by ACORN. In his interview, he touches on ACORN’s legacy and it’s important role in the formation of AQE and the Working Families Party (WFP). He also talk about its support for Occupy and its role in building coalitions, including with labor. He discusses the CFE education campaign and AQE’s role in getting a (slimmed down) millionaires tax re-instated, and the Fiscal Equity Campaign win.
