Lucy Garroway, a daycare provider in New York, was a member/leader in NY ACORN, in the Crown Heights chapter. In this interview, she speaks about her time with ACORN and how exciting it was, and how she was a recipient of a MHANY apartment through ACORN. She touches on the many actions she was part of and she sings some chants! She mentions her disappointment in NYCC, the successor organization in New York, and the importance of communication with members. As a daycare provider, she was a part of the campaign to unionize the workers into the UFT.
